Resident Recruitment and Program Values

Our program is committed to creating a training environment defined by equal opportunity, professionalism, and clearly applied standards.

We have a strong track record of producing technically capable, fellowship-ready surgeons from a broad range of backgrounds, and we remain dedicated to recruiting and supporting residents committed to outstanding patient care and surgical education.

Visiting Student/Audition Rotations

We offer competitive four-week audition rotations at Olympia Fields Hospital for applicants in the upcoming Match cycle.

Visiting students rotate between Dr. Payne and Dr. Mehl, with direct involvement in clinic, the operating room, and weekly educational activities. Students are expected to engage actively in patient care appropriate to their training level and to integrate fully with the resident team.
